Willow+ Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs for our Chrome extension

  • What does the Chrome Extension do?
    • The extension does 2 things - tells us the amount of impressions your personal LinkedIn posts have received, and also allows us to save selected LinkedIn posts in the Willow platform.
  • Why do I need to install it?
    • We are unable to access personal LinkedIn personal post data through the API. This is a limitation imposed by the platform and so in order to provide our customers with the most up to date analytics we can, we built the extension to get around this limitation.
    • In addition, saving posts on LinkedIn has always been a challenging job. It’s not immediately clear how to do this, nor is the location of these saved posts very obvious. We hope to make this process easier by saving these items in Willow.
  • Does it work on other browsers?
    • Not at present. The extension will only work on Google Chrome (or browsers running on Chromium, like Opera and Brave).
  • Why is it just on Chrome?
    • Chrome offers unparalleled flexibility when it comes to building developer add-ons like extensions. We chose to only use Chrome because of this - although we may consider adding other browsers in the future.
  • Is my data secure?
    • Yes. Post data is securely passed directly to your Willow account. We do not store any other personal information on the extension - this includes things like activity, jobs, comments, or messages.
  • What can the extension see in my LinkedIn profile?
    • The extension reads social post content, post impressions, post author, and engagement statistics. We do not collect any other information from your profile.
  • Does the extension work on other social media platforms?
    • No, the extension only works on LinkedIn.
  • Can I add multiple users from my organisation to the extension?
    • Yes. To do so, add the user to Willow first and then get them to install the extension. Their posts will then be shown within the platform.
  • Do I need a Willow subscription to use the extension?
    • Yes. The extension is part of a premium subscription and won’t work by itself.
