Attaching media (pictures, videos, PDFs etc.) to your social media posts.
Here are the types and specifications of media you can post to social media with Willow
1. Image Uploads
Each social media platform has its own restrictions on supported image formats and aspect ratios. Below is a breakdown of the accepted file types and dimensions:
Supported Image Formats by Platform:
•X (Twitter): JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP
•LinkedIn: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, WEBP

Platform-Specific Image Restrictions:

•LinkedIn: A maximum of 9 images per post
•Instagram & Facebook: No strict limit, but posts with many images may impact performance
2. Video Uploads
Videos are a great way to increase engagement, but platforms have different rules regarding video formats, duration, and aspect ratios.
Video Limitations:
• Must be of a mp4 H.264 format
• A max file size of 500MB
• X (Twitter): Up to 140 seconds
• Instagram: Up to 90 seconds (Reels only)
Aspect Ratio & Resolution Considerations:
•Instagram videos should be at least 1080x1920 pixels. Lower resolutions may result in reduced quality.
•Instagram videos must have an aspect ratio of either 9:16 or 4:5.
•X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Facebook support videos in 1:1, 9:16, and 16:9 aspect ratios.
•Any aspect ratio outside the acceptable range may cause improper formatting or rejection of the post.
Platform-Specific Video Restrictions:
•Instagram: Videos must be uploaded as Reels and must follow the correct aspect ratio guidelines (9:16 or 4:5).
•Facebook & LinkedIn: Videos with unusual aspect ratios may lead to formatting issues, and Willow will notify you if an adjustment is needed.
3. PDF Uploads (LinkedIn Only)
PDF attachments are currently only supported for LinkedIn posts.
•PDFs must be under 100MB in size.
•PDFs can have a maximum of 300 pages.
•If you select a non-LinkedIn platform while attaching a PDF, Willow will prompt you to remove the unsupported platforms.
